Excellency,
I am writing this letter to offer my sincerest thanks to you and your colleagues at the UN for your
declaration, in Chapter 26 of your report “Transforming Our World”, that the UN is committed to the
prevention and treatment of neurological diseases. This move by the UN is of great benefit for all
humanity, as the international neurological sciences community desperately needs the help of the
international community in order to improve treatment and seek cures. Up to a billion people suffer
from neurological damage and diseases, and neurological disorders are becoming increasingly
common.

Icelandic Minister of Health, sends a letter regarding the nervous system to President of the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA)

Kristján Þór Júlísson, the Icelandic Minister of Health, sends a letter to Mr Jean Todt, President of the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). In his letter, the Minister describes the Icelandic project on the nervous system and requests his and FIA’s support. In addition to being the President of FIA, Mr Todt is the UN’s Special Envoy for Road Safety and one of the founders and Chairman of the Board of the ICM Institute in Paris (research centre of the brain and spine).

A letter regarding the nervous system from the Icelandic Minister of Health to the Secretary General of the United Nations

Kristján Þór Júlíusson, the Icelandic Minister of Health, sends a letter to the Secretary General of the United Nations. The letter describes to the Secretary General the efforts of the government and the public in Iceland on behalf of the nervous system and requests his support for the project.
